Environmental Monitoring: Gathering, Understanding, and Using Your Data (Seattle, WA)

 Presented By: Balboa Art conservation Center

This workshop will help you understand how temperature, relative humidity, pollutants, light, and pests can affect collections. Discussion of how to monitor, collect and manage data will be supplemented with hands-on training with equipment and tools. Participants will also learn a wide variety of best practices and practical solutions for museum storage and display environments, including how to monitor air quality, how and why to reduce the light exposure of some materials, and approaches to pest control.
