Conducting a Risk Assessment

Presented By: Wisconsin Historical Society

Description: This 1-day workshop is the first in a series of disaster preparedness and response workshops offered in 2014 as part of Wisconsin’s IMLS Connecting to Collections initiative. Workshops are intended to be sequential, so Conducting a Risk Assessment is meant to be foundational.  This workshop will focus on how to conduct an institutional and collections risk analysis in order to prepare for natural and human-made disasters and mitigate risks to museum collections.  Attendees will leave with a draft of a risk assessment plan that they will be able to individualize and complete after they’ve returned to their institutions.

Speaker: Elisa Redman, Midwest Art Conservation Center Director of Preservation Services

Time: 10 am – 4 pm

Date: May 23, 2014

Location: Osh Kosh, WI
